Dzazo -Traditional earthen pot which is commonly known as zam, has been used in olden days as a household utensils. These pots are made up of red and white clay, and is gently baked so that it becomes hard. It is traditionally and mainly made by the local people of Gangjur.
Food cooked in earthen pots contains high iron, calcium, magnesium and sulfur. Slow cooking process due to which only less amount of oil is required, hence it helps in retaining food’s natural oil and moisture.
Maintains food’s nutritional value by allowing moisture and heat to circulate evenly through the food. Especially the meat prepared in clay pots remains juicy and tender for longer duration.
